Mowlem at Launch of Para-Athletics World Championships!

On Tuesday 17th January 2017, children from Mowlem & Marion Richardson primary schools joined together for the launch of the Para Athletics World Championships which will be held in London in six months time.

250,000 children from schools across London are being given the chance to attend the event this Summer with tickets costing just £3!

The lucky Mowlem children that attended were Aznan, Lina, Maryam, Samia, Sulaiman, Yaasir, Zahra & Zubayr, all from Class 4.

They met double Paralympic sprint gold medallist Jonnie Peacock and had the opportunity to find out more about his athletics career and hold the medals he had won at the London 2012 & Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

He also gave them a very special PE lesson! It was an inspiring day for everyone.
