Extended Services
Breakfast Club
We want every child at Mowlem to start the day with everything they need in order to learn effectively; a fundamental element of this is a healthy, filling breakfast. The chance to socialise with peers & adult also plays an important role in readying children for the day ahead.
Our breakfast club is open from 8.00am serving a wide range of breakfast delights; porridge, cereal, toast, bagels, pancakes, yoghurt, eggs, cheese and fruit are on offer. When they’ve finished eating and socialising the children have chance to take part in a variety of activities.
After School Clubs
Pupils can sign up to take part in a range of after school clubs each term. Letters will be sent home every half term with the new clubs available for each class.
All clubs run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and costs £10 per club.
Services for Families
We employ a social worker one day a week to work with families who would like support. Helen is in school on Wednesdays and families can self-refer for advice and support.
School-Home Support
The Learning Mentor team offers support & guidance for families & can can signpost to other agencies & services. They can help with a range of issues from housing to domestic violence, secondary transfer to benefits; if they can’t help then they'll know someone who can. Lucy is the main point of contact and available in school each morning.
