School Council Trip to City Hall

On Thursday 13th February some members of the School Council went to City Hall to learn more about democracy and the way London is run. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, works here. We learnt a number of facts about London's history and had the opportunity to sit in on the London Assembly Environment Committee Meeting. Anyone can visit City Hall and sit in the public gallery when the Mayor is meeting with the London Assembly whose job it is to challenge the mayor and make sure he is doing his job. We learnt lots today and would recommend you visit.
