Inter Faith Celebration 2014
On Thursday November 20th after school, staff and children with their families took part in the Inter Faith Celebration by engaging in different activities such as face painting, henna, making a muffin and gospel choir singing.
There was a range of stalls selling items that the children had made themselves including festive cards, candles, cakes and cookies decorated with symbols of faith, advent calendars, bookmarks and mini decorative frames. People also bought Islamic Art canvases and traditional food including Islamic Egyptian food.
We were delighted to be joined by visitors from different faiths with exhibitions to help us learn more about Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Zoroastrianism.
Thanks to the generosity shown by everyone, we raised an amazing £560.56 which will be donated to a local charity, St Joseph’s Hospice.
