Your virtual librarian KS2
If children can’t come to the Library, then Sam Pope is making sure that the library will come to the children. While she can’t be in work, she’s decided to become a virtual librarian, sharing an activity a day, where possible, online on Childtastic Books. Each day she aims to post activities that are relevant and interesting, starting with giving children the task of writing about the character they were for World Book Day (or any one they’re interested in).

Story Explorers – KS2
Have you ever wanted to explore a story? Perhaps you would like to visit the Chocolate Factory with Charlie, ride a polar bear in the frozen North with Lyra or travel to Middle-earth’s Lonely Mountain with Bilbo Baggins? Our Story Explorers resource challenges pupils to write a visitor’s guide or create a map based on their favourite story setting in children’s literature. Children will investigate what makes a good story location, and will apply their imagination and creativity to writing (and drawing!) with real purpose.
